A festive Pamper
are all your fairy lights up already? do you have festive candles burning? are you in the Christmas spirit? I can tell you for sure I am. putting up all my decor (a post about it will be up soon) just got me into the festive spirit even more and I hope my boyfriend will enjoy it too when he comes back home from work. one thing I love so much about this time of year is not only all the decor and light, it’s also that it seems perfect to be still and enjoy the last weeks of the year. one thing I like to do all year round are pamper evenings and I find them to be especially soothing after a long day of Christmas shopping or after a few hefty shifts at work to really unwind and enjoy the calm season.
christmas socks & fairy lights
obviously a good festive pamper starts at your cosy home that you might have decorated to feel extra cosy. you might even already have the Christmas tree up which always makes me feel extra cosy. I love having some candles burning and not having all the lights on beaming instead, I like creating a cosy feeling, add a wool blanket and a nice set of Christmas pjs from Primark and I’m good. when it comes to candles I can’t recommend the home section in tkmaxx or home sense enough. theres no need to spend loads on a fancy candle when one from tkmaxx does the trick. mine is a red currant one from dw home and it smells just like dipyque baies.
theres nothing better than a warm bath filled with bubbles to soak in whilst listening to Christmas music for your favourite podcast. lush is my choice whenever it comes to adding something to make your bathwater more exciting and I have to say, the snowman bubbleroon just has to be my product of choice of this years Christmas range. it just smells so good like shea butter and vanilla and makes my skin feel silky soft. to prevent my skin from getting too dry in the cold, I make sure I moisturize very well. the vanilla chai body butter is my product of choice. it makes you smell like a cookie and really prevents my skin from getting dry. it’s perfect.
skincare and keeping up my routine is always a must for me and there is just one brand I like going for. it’s the ordinary. their products changed my skin. my holy grail had to be their hyaluronic acid. its the best thing ever for dry skin and I use it twice a day. new products in my routine are the glycolic acid as a chemical exfoliant that I use only once a week and I also started using their 0,5% retinol in squalane to introduce retinol into my skincare routine and I have been loving it.
to me, theres no real pamper without a new manicure and glitters by Essie are a must for that. I like ending my pamper evening with a Christmas film, a hot cup of ginger tea and some cat cuddles. what about you?
