How I fell in Love with Midi Dresses
as soon as you become obsessed with stalking beautiful Instagram profiles which show you the best locations and outfits, you come across trends, ways of styling and new brands you want to shop. despite it being a daily dose of fashion which makes my bank account cry constantly. I would describe myself very confident with what I wear and all pieces I pick are some that I see myself wearing over and over again but I think we all know types of clothing we find ourselves swooning over but when we actually try them on style them, we feel not how we imagined and it can be a serious down in confidence, for me at least. that one item for me were midi dresses and skirts.
all about the fit
I love the way midi-dresses look. they always have a very whimsical and boho chic and seem the perfect length for warm but windy summer days as I don’t want to flash my butt when I’m out and about but only being 5’3 and not having the longest legs either, i always felt midi length clothing would cut me off at the wrong point and would make my legs look way bigger than they actually are and especially because I used to be so unhappy with myself last year, wearing something that would make me feel even worse was a big no no.
after working on myself and losing weight, I promised myself I would finally wear everything I always wanted to. when IKRUSH
offered me to pick a few items from their website it was the perfect opportunity to try a midi dress and amongst the summer dresses
, I found this beautiful and very floaty number. it has shoulder detailing which I love and sinches in at the waist, the most flattering and it fits like a glove. despite me being quite petite, it cuts me off at the right point and looks so dreamy. paired with a beautiful pair of nude sandals
it makes the perfect summery outfit. maybe this dress is why I fell in love with midi dresses and maybe it might start off a bigger collection.
