Treating Dehydrated Winter Skin
despite me missing spring very dearly and hoping it makes an appearance very soon I have to accept the fact that it will be winter for a bit longer and it has, in fact, been freezing the past days but at least its beaming with sunshine. as much as I like a sunny but frosty day, my skin dos suffer in winter. I have dehydrated skin and whenever is not hydrated enough, it feels tight and has a weird texture to it. it gets red and makeup sits on it weirdly. it just not a comfortable feeling so in the winter I have to take extra good care of it. so in today’s post, I will talk you through the products I use to keep my skin feel good and nourished when it’s freezing out.
pamper your skin
as you probably know, the ordinary is my favourite brand to exist and I truly believe in the brand and in how it has changed my skin. I love the simplicity of the brand and that it just does good without breaking the bank. so let’s start off with the products I only add in a few times a week. for one we have the glycolic acid. as its a chemical exfoliator, it really helps with the texture of my skin. I only use it once a week but it just gets the job done. lately, I started using retinol. because a little anti ageing didn’t hurt nobody and because it just makes my skin so smooth. at the moment I use it about 3 times a week and my skin has never looked better. it’s so radiant and feels so soft and I would highly recommend adding retinol to your skincare. the 0.5% retinol in squalane by the ordinary is perfect for me. on a daily basis I use the hyaluronic acid, in the morning and the evening and because I need extra hydration in the evening I use the organic rosehip seed oil.
because I invested quite some time in perfecting my skincare routine I always wanted to try Korean skincare for myself. dear, klairs appeared to me right away as it only contains the most necessary ingredients and is sensitive to the skin. I use supple preparation facial toner as it enhances hydration and I always wanted to add a toner that hydrates and it does just that. I also got the rich moist soothing serum. its again supposed to add hydration and also enhance the skin’s radiance. just what I need. I add it in at night time and I absolutely love it.
theres only one product I will ever use on my lips and it’s the nuxe reve de miel lip balm. it’s so thick and hydrating. theres nothing like it.
here we have it. my way to treat dehydrated winter skin. have you tried any of the products mentioned above? do you have any tips to treat dry winter skin?
