Travel Beauty Picks

as I’m typing this up, I’m sat on my living room floor, surrounded my suitcase, boarding passes, our passports and all the little things I need to pack for what only is a city break but looks like I’m leaving for a month. how can anyone pack just the right amount? I tried to cramp all beauty essentials into one of those clear plastic bags and failed miserably by breaking two of them. so I had two options; putting some of my items into my boyfriends liquid bag or seriously sizing down. what do I really need? is it necessary to pack two blushes and a palette and how do I manage to really just take the allowed number of liquids? it’s hard but at the end of the day it’s just a trip with my boyfriend and only using the essentials is more than enough to stroll through London.

so I think is very important to do a minimal makeup you feel comfortable with. I don’t mind a very natural look but I do feel better with some liquid eyeliner and a bit of highlighter. luckily, powder products are much easier to transport but I still wanted to size down because I actually don’t want to take a huge makeup bag. my Kevyn Aucoin bronzer and Becca champagne pop highlighter are a must and I’m also thinking about taking my hourglass powder as its just a small compact powder. for my base, I will take my favourite at the moment.it’s the ordinary serum foundation. its so easy to use and luckily, the bottle is small and easy to pack. same with the la girl concealer. both of them work perfectly together and don’t take up much space. to make sure my makeup stays I opted for a bit of a bulky product. it’s my Becca primer but I really couldn’t go a day without it anymore. for my eyes, I had a mini charlotte tilbury legendary lashes left. perfect for travelling as I don’t need to pack a huge mascara. because liquid liner is what I love I packed my small one. in case I want to wear something else on my eyes I thought an eyeshadow pencil would be the perfect thing to pack. its slim and easy to use and the by terry ombré blackstar in misty rock had the most perfect colour. I usually use a brow powder but that’s quite big to pack and would take up loads of room. instead, I went for my trusty soap&glory brow archery which is super slim and is easy to travel with. because I can’t just go with one lipstick, I decided to pack two. my favourite and really loved Charlotte Tilbury pillow talk and a Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in redrum.
so here we have my travel beauty for my city break in London. I truly can’t wait and hopefully will have the best time. what are your tips to pack well and wisely when it comes to travelling and beauty?
