My Current Base for Fair & Dry Skin
it can be tough to find a foundation or makeup base that works for you and your skin and I have to proudly announce that I’m so happy with the products I found lately and that I use on a day to day basis. Obviously, it’s all about your skin and what you are looking for. I have dehydrated to dry skin which means some makeup just sits weird on me. it can cling to dry spots, crumble on my nose and create lines under my eyes which is not a great look. Also, I’m very fair and loads of foundations are too orange or warm and most drugstore brands don’t even cater a shade that suits me. for a day to day like I like going for a lighter and very glowy look as I don’t have problems with spots or acne so if you are the same you might find so products you want to add to your daily makeup routine.
the perfect base
as you know if you have been around for a while, you might now that I adore the ordinary skincare. their products have transformed my skin in the best way possible and I was very pleased to find out that they now do foundations and I had to get one. I went for the serum foundation in the shade 1.2 P. they have so many shades, probably one for every skin tone from fair to dark which is what we need. it says it’s a serum-textured natural coverage foundation that softens hues and visibly reduces imperfections. it’s a very light and indeed natural coverage that just gives you better skin. my redness disappears and my skin looks perfectly skin like and glowy. its so light and truly feels like a serum. it never feels heavy and doesn’t set weirdly. it’s perfect and just right for day to day. I have quite visible under eye circles and they can be pretty dark when I’m busy so I like to go for two concealers. one is the la girl pro conceal in porcelain. it’s very yellow which means it works perfectly to get rid of blue tones. to highlight my under eye area, even more, I use the classic collection concealer in the lightest shade. in order to not have any creasing or lines, I set my under eyes with the la girl loose banana powder. it really lifts my under eyes and it sets it so perfectly. as I don’t like an overall powdery look I use the hourglass ambient lighting powder in diffused light. it adds the perfect glow and is one of my all-time favourite products.
here we have the perfect base for me. it works amazingly with my fair and dry skin and I hope this was helpful to some of you. let me know your go-to base products.
