after long day filled with classes, studying at my desk or working, i like having a nice routine to calm me down, get me ready for a good night of sleep so i can start a new day energized and motivated. not every night has to be a pamper night but doin something good for me that will improve my routine and make me feel better about myself. it also doesn’t take ages to do or keep up with and i truly makes me just feel a lot better and certainly more relaxed at night time.
nothing is more relaxin than a long and hot bath. its just my ultimate stress cure and i feel so cosy after. it can also help so much with my sleep which is why i only take baths in the evening. besides lush being an obvious bath fave, recently i have been going for rituals products. they are just unreal and so full of scents. they make my whole bathroom smell like a spa and the scent lingers on the skin but never too much just very lovely. i got the rituals of light body wash foam and body butter. the scent is jut so beautiful. very rich and spicy, a bit like pumpkin spice latte and its just beautiful and so calming. besides it having a lovely scent and making my skin feel silky soft, the packaging is also just beautiful.
skincare obviously is a huge part of every pamper is some sort of skincae routine and despite mine being super simple. the ordinary hyaluronic acid is still high up there. it literally changed my skin and i will not go a day without it. its literally one little step in a routine and improves the skin so much. one thin i recently added to my routine is the nuxe reve de miel lip balm. super late to the party, i know. its just the best thing ever and it literally safed my lips after having a cold sore which basically means that i didn’t use any lip products for five days. its super rich and perfect to put on at night time.
one thing that is a massive part of my night time routine and essentials is down time and offline time. i love being online and everything social media but when i really want to calm down, i need something else. burning a diptyque candle, putting my phone away and reading a book or magazine is just so much better. we also don’t have a tv in the bedroom as i feel like they don’t belong there and sometimes we even charge our phones outside of the room. as you might now, i recently switched up my diet and eating habits completely as i really want to shape my body and it worked wonders for my sleep to. i’m way more awake, i feel so much better and have way more energy so a light dinner can be better for you.
