Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection

i actually can’t quite believe that i’m sitting down right now to type up this post. not because i never wanted to buy from kylie cosmetics but because it already happened. the brand by kylie jenner has been all the hype for quite a while now and i am late to the party as per usual. i haven’t ordered anything before because everything was selling out so quickly and i felt like i could never shop what i wanted in peace so i put if off as i was also never sure which colours of the liquid lipsticks i wanted to get as i wanted to try the brand in general. so when the holiday season came around and every single makeup brand started bringing out their holiday collections i saw kylie cosmetics take on it and figured it was finally time especially since there was a mini liquid lipstick kit. the perfect item to try out the brand and i wanted it. so when it was launch time i sat there in the dark in front of my laptop screen with 10 tabs open and i was able to get what i wanted. so i was buzzing and so sooo happy. when i received the shipment email i looked at it and instead of germany it said belgium…i have no idea why since i’m deadly sure i clicked on germany and i started to panic a bit as the parcel was already shipped out and there was no way for me to change anything about it. the situation got even worse when i told my sister about it and she kindly informed that kylie cosmetics is not longer available for german customers which made me give up on my order. i already paid for it but since its not really the company’s fault i thought i would never get it until a letter from the customs office arrived basically saying that my package is there and i needed to pick it up to pay my customs fee and here we are. i got them in the end.

the mini liquid lipstick kit comes with 6 liquid lipsticks in the signature drip down packaging but in silver for the holidays. it also came with a kylie holiday edition card. the lipsticks contain 0.02 fl. oz. and go from light to dark. every colour has a slight vanilla scent. the first shade in it is moon. a very on trend grey and cool toned nude. followed by ginger, a very warm almost orange nude which is a shade i like going for on a day to day basis. kristen is part of the regular range and it such a nice colour. its a warm cherry red but its toned down and i would say its still a nude. angel is a classic mauve toned one. also a shade i love wearing on a day to day basis. the set also contains two dark shades love bite and vixen. both are dark wine toned reds and vixen is almost purple.
the light shades go on very easily and opaque with one swipe and dry very, veeeeery quickly. almost a bit too quickly for me but they do wear quite comfortably and easy. the dark shades however and not easy to apply. as they dry so quickly they go patchy instantly which is something many people have been dealing with so i would actually skip on the darker shades. the nude ones are very lovely and kristen has be my favourite shade of them all. sadly. they are a pain in the butt to take off as they turn crumbly as soon as i wanted to take them off. i know that most liquid lipsticks are made to stay on for ages but i want to be able to take them off nicely.

all in all it is a lovely set and its perfect to test out kylie cosmetics so exactly what i wanted too. have you tried any kylie cosmetics products? what do you think?
