Mac Studio Sculpt

Mac Studio Sculpt in NW20; 32,50€

I think i really got into make up last summer, that was the time when i did a lot of research, started watching tons of youtube videos and was addicted to all the beauty blogs and i still am and quickly after getting obsessed with beauty stuff, i went out and got my first mac foundation ever and still love it. a few days ago i realized that i never wrote a full review on it even though i mentioned it a million times and now i’m finally sitting down to write a love letter about that beautiful product that literally changed my life and my love for foundations and i really want to go into detail to show you what i love about it and maybe encourage a few of you to go out and splurge on a good foundation.

first off all, i am very fair skined and i have quite warm rosey undertones running trough my complexion which makes finding foundations at the drugstore super hard and not fun. most foundations that german drugstores stock are either too dark or too orange/yellow for my skin. super annoying and i started getting really frustrated about the situation until i popped into mac. i would always, always recommend going into an actual mac store or to your closest mac counter and let one of the super lovely sale ladies tell you which color you are. thats what i did back then when i wanted to get my hands on the studio sclupt and it i am a nw 20 which is light but with a warm complexion.

so the foundation itself comes in a tube which a first looks like there isn’t a lot of product but you only need a pea sized amount of it to cover your entire face with it. again, a recommendation from the mac lady which was super helpful. the studio sculpt is a full coverage foundation that gives more of a dewy finish but without making the skin cakey looking or even giving that sweaty or sticky feel. it blends in super easily and i like to apply it with my real techniques expert face brush. the tiny amount that you should use covers the face so easily, corrects the redness and minimized the pores but still doesn’t look like a mask or fake. it still lets the skin look like skin but in a perfect way. nw20 is the perfect match for my skin tone. it sits on the skin all day without going anywhere. i think you can see the huge difference that this foundation does to my skin and my skin is really acting up lately so all my redness and blemishes are covered nicely.

it also contains spf 15 which is a huge plus and leaves my skin really soft and moisturized throughout the day. my skin tends to get super dry and a lot of drugstore foundations used to dry out my skin so much, leaving it with dry patches that are just awful to look at. the studio sculpt doesn’t do that at all.

after using and trying a bunch of new foundations i always find myself going back to this one. it gives me the coverage i need and want all the time and it makes my skin feel super nice. i know it is a splurge product and not that cheap but it was so worth it. the tube goes such a long way and i used mine for almost a year and now its nearly empty and i already stocked up on it a while back because i need this in my life and in my daily make up routine.
for those of you who are looking for a great coverage foundation with a more dewy but not shiny finish that lasts for ages and leaves the skin feeling super nice, you might have to check out this little baby from mac. i can not quite put into words how much i love this one and it was really my beauty life saver of some sort. mac just never disappoints me.

i hope you enjoyed my review of my favorite ever foundation that is just the best thing you can honestly get. let me know if you tried it and how you liked it or what your favorite foundation is. love you.
