{ First Impression } Catrice Photo Finish Foundation

Catrice Photo Finish Foundation; 6,45€

first impression posts were always something i wanted to to since i started blogging in january. if the first impression of a new product is not good, i'm almost tired of trying it and alot of you guys probably know judy's first impression youtube videos. they are awesome, not only because shes so lovely, and they really inspired me to do them on my blog. today, i'm going to try out the catrice photo finish foundation.

it is liquid foundation, that is supposed to stay on for 18 hours. it says, it has light reflecting pigments in it that capture the light, either from a flash or just natural lightning, and let the skin glow and even out skin imperfections. it should work like a soft focus effect for a natural glowing complexion without a mask effect and its oil free. for a flawless and radiant complexion - as great as a retouched photo, thats what it promises.

first of all, i really like the packaging. a really chic looking glass bottle, with a pump. which is really handy when it comes to liquid foundation. i got it in the shade 010 sand beige to put in on my skin, i used a wet beauty blender sponge and dabbed it all over my face after i used a face cream to keep my skin moisturized. the foundation goes on really well and smooth and has a thick consistency and makes my face looks softer and more glowy instantly. my skin tone just looks better and how i want it to look, glowy and healthy.
because i always use powder, i used macs mineralize skin finish in light to finish it off and carry on with my normal make up rountine.

i really like how the foundation caputes the light and that it gives a great coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. it looks great in any lightning and makes my skin look million times better. i applied my make up round 9:30 in the morning and had a busy day ahead.

my morning started with a doctors appointment at 10:30 and i rode my bike to the doctors because my car had to get fixed because it broke again. the current heat wave made a 10 minute bike ride really sweaty and i wasn't really cool at the doctors either, after that i went to my grandmas to pick up some food and went back home, made lunch for mom and me and spent some time in the garden. thats where i did the first picture. i had to get my hair out of my face because it was boiling hot but for a bike ride and spending time in outside, i felt surprisingly good about my make up and didn't see it fade alot which made me really happy. i also haven't used some more powder or any other products.

to complete a sweaty day i had to head into town to get my car back, run a few errands. i had to go by bus first which was incredibly hot but when i came home at 6:30, i still felt good about my skin and make up, eventhough i had a little panda eyes going on.

all in all, i really like the photo finish foundation. it gives the radiant glow that it promises and evens out my skin tone and eventhough it was a pretty sweaty day it stayed on really, really well. and it is a drugstore foundation which is really, really cheap. i will use it more often from now on. its worth checking out.

i hope you enjoyed my first "first impressions" post and i will do them more often in the future. i love you guys.

  6. I love so many catrice products! This foundation seems really nice and the price is amazing. I want to try their new all matt foundation which seems a better option for my oily skin.
Your blog is really nice, I'm about to follow you on bloglovin (:

  7. My favourite and go-to foundation is actually a £10 one from Bourjois. It's the only foundation that really matches my very-pale skin tone haha.

I barely wear stripes myself, to be honest. Since moving to London from another country, I've actually barely bought any clothes :O I'm in awe with myself

  9. I did. I've been living in London for almost five months and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. I'm from Portugal so you can imagine I was going nowhere in there.

If you ever come, drop me an email so we can meet up!
