i am a huge fan of leonardo di caprio so i basically had to watch the great gatsby but i never thought that this movie would impress me so much. i watched it the second time yesterday, eventhough it just came out a week ago, but i just love it. its such a beautiful setting, the 1920s style is amazing, the cast is brilliant the story, oh my god, it is amazing.
daisy buchanan is basically the main lady and carey mulligan is such a beautiful woman. the first time daisy is shown is so amazing and i basically fell in love with her, the way she dresses and looks, so i decided to recreate her make up.daisy looks flawless, her face is perfect and really fair, nearly no color on the cheeks. she always goes for neutrals with slightly cool undertones on her eyes, really softly blended and no eyelinerat all. her lips are always in a dusky red. she is beautiful.
i am really pleased with the result. i don’t have blond hair like daisy and, off course, no tiffany and co. headbands but i really like her soft make up look and it is really easy to do. i used a nude color all over my eyes and worked two different browns into my crease and blended them alot to create daisies soft eyes. i also mixed a cool and dark brown with a shimmery canberry purpely color and used it under my eyes. a few coats of my favourite mascara and i was done with the eyes.here are the products i used:
mac studio sculpt in nw20
rimmel stay matte powder in peach glow
benefit erase paste in no.1 fair
p2 perfect eyes! base
bh cosmetics 88 color palette matte eyeshadow
maybelline the falsies mascara
benefit they’re real mascara
maybelline colorsensational in 540 hollywood red
this is the first make up look i recreated and i hope you liked it. if you want me to create more of them, please let me know and if you don’t know what to do; go to the movie theaters and watch the great gatsby. you’ll love it. trust me.
